Beauty haul!- Avon,essence,l'oreal etc...

hey! so ive actually been tring not to spend alot of money lately since my birthday is next month and then christmas (anyone else already excited?!)  but i have picked up a few things that im super excited to try!

l'oreal lipstick "303 tender rose"

this first caught my eye because of the gorgeous packaging, then i saw the colour, it is a gorgeous baby pink that i think is actually more of a summer colour but aww well i also came to the realisation that i only have one other baby pink lipstick and it is a matte colour so i thought this gorgeous shimmered one would fit in perfectly to my collection. i tried it on though and i think it washes out my face abit but i havent completely given up on it yet as it is a summer colour and i still think it would look amazing with a tan and some gloss over it!

Rimmel eyeshadow quad "016 urban flower"

This quad i picked up when on my SU weekend and just got it because it was on sale and i thought the neutral colours in it looked nice, also some of you may know my everyday holy grail eyeshadow trio is also rimmel so i knew i like the formulation of the eyeshadows also on the weekend we had to dress up and i dressed up as theadore from Alvin and the chipmunks and if you have seen the film you will know he wears green so i actually put the gorgeous green shadow to good use and put it in my tear duct to add a pop of colour. it actually turned out really nice in pictures! it was one of those "im such a genius!" moments!

Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation "010 ivory"

Simply i needed a new foundation fancied a change walked into superdrug and walked out again with this i didnt set out to get it and honestly it was a bit of a impulse buy, but i am so glad i did! ive only been using this for about a week so i cant give a full review but the first thing i noticed is it is SO easy to blend the application of this is effortless! and it looks so natural i will probably do a full review soon when ive tried it for a bit longer, but so far its looking good  :)

Avon true colour eyeshadow quad "mocha latte"

Again this was another impulse buy and again im dont regret it at all! for some reason ive never really took avon seriously as a makeup brand i dont know why but recently Sam from Pixiwoo on youtube has been using some of their products and they are one of my big makeup and beauty inspirations so i decided to give some a try and the ones i did try are amazing! in this quad especially the matte colours impressed me the most! they are so soft and creamy the almost feel like a cream shadow and from swatches they seem very blendable but i did only get them yesterday so i cant really review. I will do a review in a few weeks though so you can look out for that :)

Avon glimmerstick brow definer "blonde"

i got this yesterday with the quad above and wore it to school today and i was really impressed with it i know im not blonde but i think the colour is perfect for me .. well again ive only used it once but im impressed so far!

Essence mascarras!

i dont want to say too much about these but basically as you may know i first tried an essence mascarra over summer and was really impressed! so i have decided to try a few more and give a review of essence mascarras so if you would be interested in that make sure to leave me a comment below letting me know! <3

hope you enjoyed make sure you let me know what you think in the comments.....
-have you tried some of these products?

Review: rimmel stay matte powder!

hey everyone! firstly, if you saw this post up about an hour ago and clicked on it and there was only the pictures up sorry about that i was in the middle of writing this post id just uploaded these pictures and i have to go out i came back to realise i had published my half done review!! :o so sorry if that had you confused but its here now the full review!....

i got this powder simply because of the huge hype around it in the bbloger community and i was curious to see what everyone was so excited about and at first i have to say i wasnt sure about this powder i have combination skin and my under eye area is quite dry so when i put this powder on for the first time i notice the powder caking with the concealer i have on

i know it is powder and its job is to dry your skin but i just didnt like the look of that at all!
however, after a few weeks of avoiding it i decided to give it another change! and was very careful around my under eye makeing sure i had blended it well and i had absolutly no problem with it  i like the finish it gives and i had no shine all day!

id say im definaty joining the beauty bloggers raving about powder because since i started using it i havent stopped! id say its about a medium coverage unless ofcourse you get the transparent one and id say it last up to a good 6-7 hours because i have been wearing it to school everyday and it has kept my makeup looking the same all day!

the only think i would say is if you have dry skin this probably wont be for you, but to be honest if your skins really dry i dont think you need a powder at all! i hope you found this review really helfull

heres a picture of me wearing the powder...(dont know why its sideways!!)

hope you enjoyed!! love you <3

makeup emergency!

hey everyone! so the other day i made plans to go shopping with my friends and we planned to go in early to avoid the crowds at primark during the day but since its summer and I've been so used to sleeping in every day i woke up 25 minutes before i had to get the train!

luckily i showered the night before so i through on my clothes got my self ready and decided to do my makeup on the train but i ended up taking as much time picking all the makeup i was going to wear and all the tools i would need and putting them im a makeup bag i might as well have just done my makeup!

so that long intro is basically what inspired this post,i decided to fill my makeup bag with an emergency make up kit for the next time i have a makeup emergency!
ok so in my emergency kit......

-concealer (natural collection)
concealer i feel is one of the most important things to have as i think it makes such a
difference to your face clearing up any imperfections!
-powder(miss sporty stay matte)
-bronzer (2true)
-blush (MUA)
blush i think is a must because it adds colour to the face so you don't look like a ghost!

-brow pencil (essence)
usually i would set my brow with gel etc. but i think this is a quick fix to your brows!
-eyeliner pencil (MUA)
-mascara (rimmel scandeleyes)
mascara is a MUST! it makes such a difference for your hole face it completely opens your
             eyes!!
-lipstick (MAC "dressmaker")
i thought a neutral lipstick would be best for my "kit" since a neutral lip would go with
anything! and i put eyeliner and shadows in so i could make a more dramatic eye if i needed
a more dressed up look.also this is a lustre lipstick so i feel it doesn't need a gloss (one
                less thing to worry about!)
-eyeshadow trio (rimmel)
this trio is great because you can use it to create a neutral look or a more dramatic one!

tools..

-eyelash curlers
these make such a difference to your lashes opening them making them look longer!
-lid brush
-blending brush
-blush brush (use for bronzer to!)

now i have my emergency kit sitting on my dressing table for the next time i have to pick it up and run out the door!

hope you all enjoyed this post it was quite a long one so well done for reaching the end!!
please comment and follow if you liked this post and want to see more!

hey everyone so now that its the beginning of August its time for my July favourites!! they are mostly makeup items this month because i have been wearing alot more makeup and wearing different products since its summer!

1.MUA heaven and earth pallete!
this pallete is all shimmered neutral colours. i use neutral colours for a smokey eye or everyday look.and i usally prefer matte colours for an everyday eye especially for school! so this summer i reallly wanted to change it up and shimmer! all of these colours have great pigmentation and very good ware for a £4 palette! i did a full review of this which is linked here..

ok so this may sound like a strange "favourite" but after doing my DIY series this week I've notice how useful and awesome Vaseline is! and when researching for DIY beauty i realised just how many uses there are (im going to do a blog post to share with you all of the wonders of Vaseline!)
ill link below the DIY post that used Vaseline..

3.rimmel waterproof gel eyeliner
this product is just perfect for summer! its water proof which is good! but its also pretty easy to remove at the end of the day as well it comes with its own brush so you can easily carry it around (perfect for festivals!!)it is super easy to apply as well  and i just love it! what more can i say?!

4.sally Hansen maximum growth nail polish.
this has just been a lifesaver for my nails this summer! as we arnt allowed nail polish in school summer the only time i can enjoy coloured nails so they've been painted constantly! this polish i always have on as a base coat and my nails are as strong as ever!

june favourites!!

Hey everyone so this months favourites are mostly beauty products because ive had exams and been finishing up school so i havent had much time to try alot of new make up looks or products ive just been doing my everyday look which you already know about ill link that blog post below...
http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8576801579231603675#editor/target=post;postID=3661710472015901511

1.  the first favourite is my nivia moisturiser its so thick and so moisurising the only thing i would say is to apply it at night because it takes a while to completely absorb into the skin so i wouldnt apply it in the morning in case i look oily but this is the best moisturiser ive ever used so i would recomend it to anyone! It is available at superdrug for £3.95 -  think! (around that much anyway :/) you can get it in boots and ive also seen it in home bargins.
2.   next favourite is the wella schockwaves ultra strong power volume moose i have been applying this as part of my hair routine since may and i have noticed a big difference! it is very easy to apply and i apply it on a comb and comb it through my hair befor i blow dry it. i just love it so much at the minute and it is so easy!

it the same product in the two pictures the lightings just different haha ^
3. my next favourite is definatly my boots natural collection passionfruite body spray! iv had it since last novenber but havent really started using it till this month its so summery and fresh and gives a light fruity scent!its available at boots for £2.00!
4. my next favoutite if definatly the soap and glory glad hair day shampoo which again ive had for a while but only just redisscovered this month i just love it! it smells so good and lathers really well it leaves your hair so smooth and feeling so fresh!i got it at boots for £5.50 which is a bit pricey for a 250mls shampoo but i think it definatly worth it and will be repurchacing it! there is conditioners aswell in the glad hair day collection for the same price that i havent tried yet but i am excited to try them out!

5. on to my make-up favourites and my first one is the miss sporty pressed powder which i picked up at super drug for only £2.99! it gives a clean matte finish and takes away and shiney/oily areas of your face it also helps set your make-up and i have especially noticed for concealer it helps keep it on all day!

6. essence eyebrow designer in shade 04 blonde - this is a recent find that i got 2 weeks ago but i though i would show it anyway because i have used it everyday since! im quite happy with my natural eyebrow shape so i like to have a pencil just to fill it in lightly this pencil is good because it matches my brow colour exactly and comes wth a brush on the lid to shape your brows (i have to say tho i dont use to brush it comes with because i think its to small and fidgity so i would use my normal eyebrow comb) i would use it with a clear mascarra as my brow gel and i just love how easy it is! i picked it up for £1.99 at boots
7. the final product i have been using for ages now everyday and its about to run out :( so ill have to get it again soon and it is the rimmel london stay matte duel action concealer in shade 010 ivory it give really good coverage and stays on really well! i have oily under eyes and this concealer is the only on i have found that stays on all day it also has a green center which cancels out any redness on your face so it is perfect for blemishes! it is available at superdrug and boots for £4.99.
i really hope you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful please follow
