NOTD - welcoming spring!

Hey everyone! So it's spring! Although that's pretty hard to believe with the weather here in the Uk! But I've decided to take things into my own hands.. Literally! And I've decide to welcome spring with pastel nails!

What I am wearing..
-on my nails I am wearing OPI 'planks a lot' from the pirates of the carribian minis collection. It's a pastel lavender purple

-I then used a gold glitter polish, mine is from a local shop and is their own brand but any glitter polish could be used. I applied the glitter polish to a makeup sponge and pressed it on to Half of the nail to create the effect.

Hope you enjoyed the post and I hope you have a great day :')

Review:Rimmel wake me up foundation!

Hey everyone! So this has been a really busy year for me and still is, but I've missed blogging so much and missed all the lovely friends I have here! So I just couldn't stay away I've decided to try manage my time better so I can find a balance with blogging and work and I thought I would come back with a review. The Rimmel wake me up foundation has been raved about alot and I know I'm a bit late with my review but I thought I would share my thoughts about the product with you!

So the first thing I noticed with this foundation is the great coverage, I would describe it as a medium coverage but doesn't look cakey. It is very easy to blend aswell.

One thing I noticed when wearing this foundation is that in natural sunlight it is very glittery (not like edward cullen glittery but still quite noticable!) which for some is okay but I definatly usally go for more of a matte finish so I didn't like this. Because of this reason I like to wear this foundation in the evenings and for nights out an I love it! It stays really well and lasts all night.

I would definatly recommend this foundation but definatly be aware of the glitter! It is £7.99 at boots and superdrug and I think it's well worth the price!

I hope you enjoyed the review! I'm so glad to be back and I'm hoping to update at least once a week :)

A little bit of blogmas! - my favourite christmas/winter jumpers!

hey everyone! since this is my blogs first Christmas i really wanted to do blogmas but i would be kidding myself if i thought i would be able to blog everyday this month i have school for 3 more weeks and i have exams next month! but i will be posting as often as i possibly can :)

today's post is my favourite jumpers that i have seen for winter...

**Studded Jumper by Rare

  • Studded Jumper by Rare
  • £39.00
  • this jumper isn't a "Christmas" jumper but that deep berry red colour really reminds me of Christmas (and it matches my nails right now! :0) i think its gorgeous and the studs on the shoulder just adds detail and makes it more special :)
  • i think this jumper would look perfect stunning with legging and some ankle boots :)
Black (Black) Black Snowman Knit Bobble Jumper | 263645601 | New Look

    Black Snowman Knit Bobble Jumper£27.99
i just think this jumper is so cute! it is quite expensive for a Christmas jumper since you will only be able to wear it at Christmas - well you could wear in summer but you might get a few people staring at you so i strongly advise that you don't! - anyway i just think this jumper is super adorable!!
Red Pattern (Red) Dark Red Aztec Knitted Jumper | 271692769 | New Look

    Dark Red Aztec Knitted Jumper£19.99
i really love the Aztec trend this year and as you all know i love deep red colours in winter and this has both! its not to pricey either and i just think it would be really nice with some leggings or with some shorts and tights :)
    Megan Fairisle Jumper

    yet another red jumper....
i love this one because the detail is so eye catching but its definitely not too much its just so cute and look so comfy to wear with a pair of jeans or leggings :)
i hope you enjoyed this post if you can think of any good ways to wear your winter jumper or good things to wear them with leave me a comment letting me know :)

top 5 nail polishes for autunm/winter

hello everyone! so I'm pretty sure autumn (fall) is basically over but i have been wearing these colours thought autumn so i thought i would include it in the title :) Also you may notice a recurring trend with these nail polishes .. i was first going to do a review of no7 nail polishes but i wanted to mention the Avon one aswell because i think the colour is gorgeous!
I've had the no7 polishes since last Christmas and they are literally all I've wore in autumn and winter even last year i wore them 24/7! i just love the formulation and the brush is a dream for application aswell. these polishes last extremely well to I've noticed i wash the dishes so nail polishes don't usually last long on me but these ones can last up to a week which i find is better than opi nail polishes!

    The colours...

Avon nailwear in "midnight plum" - i don't like the formulation of this polish as much as the no7 ones its a bit thinner and at least 2 coats are definitely needed! but what i do love is the colour i took on picture with flash and one without so you can see what it looks like in different lights sometimes it can look a bit like a classic black but it has a gorgeous hint of purple!

"vivid violet" - this is perfect if you want a bit of a brighter colour but still want an autumnal colour!
"sing the blues" - this is just you classic navy polish! i think its perfect for this time of year In caparison to other navy's out there though i would say this one is a bit light so i think my next nail polish purchase will be a darker navy so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
"totally teal" - well the name sums this up quite well it is a gorgeous matte teal colour which at first i wasn't sure i would love this but I've found my self reaching for it so much recently especially with the whole khaki trend this year i think its a perfect colour for this winter!

"damson dream" - this is another classic colour it is a classic deep berry red it definitely does have pink tones to it and i would also describe it as shimmered it doesn't have glitter in it but it does have a shimmer if you know what i mean?! it is really gorgeous and christmasy (not a real word but whatever!) so I'm definitely going to be wearing this colour over Christmas this year!

thanks for stopping by i hope you enjoyed this post and found it somewhat helpful!

whats you signature colour this winter?

sunday summary- braces, birthday and breaking dawn!!

hey everyone!! i hope you've had a good week? mine has definitely had its ups and downs! my week started with getting braces on tuesday and i have to say it was not the most pleasant experience, i didn't like my dentist and i have sensitive teeth so when he shot the air and water thing i nearly jumped off the seat, it was freezing! so for the next few days i stuck to soup and ice cream and felt like my teeth could fall out oh yea and the wires were chopping up the inside of my mouth! ive started to get used to them now and i ate a sandwich today so I'm pretty proud of myself! just another 18 months to go :(

But.. my week got alot better when i went to see breaking dawn part two on saturday with neave it was amazing!! id definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it yet and it was also the day that the Christmas lights were turned on in my town so we went after to see the fireworks!.. OH and we got our photo taken with a real reindeer he was so cute! so i have definitely gotten into the christmas spirit this week!

im not sure if ive mentioned this but its my birthday next saturday and i got an amazing surprise today neave came over with my present (she wanted me to get it early in case i bought it myself!!)and she got me the naked pallet i was so pleasantly surprised thank you neave! and definitely expect to see it staring in some fotds!! the colours are so beautiful and i cant stop looking at it! so that was definitely a highlight of the week!

the last thing i wanted to mention was that i hit 100 followers on friday and i just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all by beautiful followers when i first started this little blog i had no idea how much it would mean to me and i put so much time and work into it so it really is the best feeling knowing that some people are enjoying it and that im helping some people out so thank you thank you thank you!! i feel like compared to alot of other blogs mine is just a baby it 5 months old so to have hit that milestone so quick has really shocked and surprised me i am truly so grateful!

so thats another week gone id say all in all its been a good one and now its time to go to sleep and get ready for the week ahead! hope you all have a good week!!
