NOTD - pastel and crackle!

today i was going through my nail polishes and decided i wanted to wear lilac polish but i decided to give my crackle polish another chance i feel like the crackle polish trend didnt last long at all people got bored of it quickly and moved on i thought i would give it another try since ive only used it a few times.To be honest im not sure if it will make a come back i think its one of those things that come and go but i matched it with the more current trend of  detailing your ring finger let me know what you think!

i used MUA nail polish in shade24 and Barry M nail effects in Nail polish 315.

MUA undressed pallete review!

todays post is a review on the new MUA palette, the palette named "undressed" this is MUA's answer to the famous urban decay naked palette.the palletes are very similar with the biggest difference being... the price tag! this new MUA palette is only £4 and available at superdrug.under 1/8 of the naked palette!And you could never tell by the quality of the product.there are 12 eyeshadows 3 of them are matte finish and the rest shimmered.the matte colours were a bit dissapointing for me they arnt very pigmented or easy to blend.The other 9 shadows are a completely different story! the pigmentation is amazing and blends a dream! the quality is crazy for the price!i think this will very soon become a must have beauty item in the beauty community!Unfortunatly this brand isnt available outside the u.k but you can get the paletes on ebay etc. :)

bored of summer?

lost for things to do over summer? its half over and we want to make the most of the little time we have left!this isn't really a beauty post but i found this list online a thought it looked super fun and certainly gave me a few ideas!...

list of things 20 to do over the summer holidays......

1.sleep outside for a night
2.hug 10 strangers in one day
3.have 3 all nighters
4.tp a house
5.spend a week without t.v
6.pretend to faint in a grocery store
7.kiss 20 guys/girls
8.tell 10 people you seen them on t.v to see their reaction
9 watch one t.v show for a whole day
10.learn to do a back flip on a trampoline
11.start singing on a bus
12.have 3-5 sleepovers in a row
13.just eat chocolate for a whole day
14.tidy your room
15.throw a party
16. put makeup on 3 guys
17.listen to the same song for 3 hours
18.skydive
19.compliment 10 people in a day
20. make an online friend from a different country.

so of these are definatly better than others but this list certainly gives me some ideas what have you guys been doing this summer??

july favourites 2012!

july favourites

hey everyone so now that its the beginning of August its time for my July favourites!! they are mostly makeup items this month because i have been wearing alot more makeup and wearing different products since its summer!

1.MUA heaven and earth pallete!

this pallete is all shimmered neutral colours. i use neutral colours for a smokey eye or everyday look.and i usally prefer matte colours for an everyday eye especially for school! so this summer i reallly wanted to change it up and shimmer! all of these colours have great pigmentation and very good ware for a £4 palette! i did a full review of this which is linked here..

2.Vaseline!
ok so this may sound like a strange "favourite" but after doing my DIY series this week I've notice how useful and awesome Vaseline is! and when researching for DIY beauty i realised just how many uses there are (im going to do a blog post to share with you all of the wonders of Vaseline!)

3.rimmel waterproof gel eyeliner
this product is just perfect for summer! its water proof which is good! but its also pretty easy to remove at the end of the day as well it comes with its own brush so you can easily carry it around (perfect for festivals!!)it is super easy to apply as well  and i just love it! what more can i say?!

4.sally Hansen maximum growth nail polish.
this has just been a lifesaver for my nails this summer! as we arnt allowed nail polish in school summer the only time i can enjoy coloured nails so they've been painted constantly! this polish i always have on as a base coat and my nails are as strong as ever!

DIY beauty series! #4 make your own gel eyeliner!!

Gel Eyeliner!!

hey everyone! today's (and the final ) DIY tutorial is for gel eyeliner! hope you enjoy comment and follow if you do! lets get started......

what you will need.....

*a black pigment or a cheap black eyeshadow.
*petroleum jelly or Vaseline
*microwavable bowl (optional)
*container to keep it in
* something to mix and scrape with (eg.knife)

1.depending on the size of your container add about 1-2 tablespoons of Vaseline to your container

2.using your knife or whatever you are using scrape.scrape some of your black eyeshadow onto your paper plate(or if using a pigment just tip a small amount onto the plate) and mix with the Vaseline until you get a thick black pasty consistency.


3.*optional* to make mixing your product easier you can place your paste into your bowl and microwave for 10 second intervals to soften or melt it making it easier to mix into your container.

4.place/pour product into container

5.place container into the freezer for roughly 30 mins to set your product then your done!!
